October Newsletter

I pray that everyone had a blessed and restful fall break.  As we end the first 9 weeks and begin with the second 9 weeks, here are some points of interest that are and have been taking place on and around campus.

Our Rebels athletic teams have had a good start to the year.  Congratulations again to our Lady Rebels Softball team on a great season!  The Lady Rebels won district, finished runner-up in south state, and finished third in the state tournament.  Several of our young ladies have been chosen to represent ASC in MAIS all-star competitions.  Members chosen for the MAIS All-Star game for seniors, are Blair Walsh, Emma Jackson, and Dally Holmes.  Members chosen for the MAIS Futures game for underclassmen, are Ballard Kraft, Madelyn Spring, and Katelynn Malone.  Good luck to these ladies in their games tomorrow!  The Rebel football team has had a winning record through nine games as the Rebels are currently 5-4.  Homecoming is this week as the Rebels begin district play.  We host Sylva Bay at 7:00 on Friday.  The homecoming court presentation will begin at 5:30 on Friday.  Remember that on Friday the elementary will dismiss at 11:45 and grades 7-12 will dismiss at 11:55.  Good luck to our Rebels Friday night.  Finally, our Lady Rebels basketball team will begin play later this month, the boys will start play in November.  Please be looking on our athletic FaceBook page and our school website for the 2022-2023 basketball schedule.

Our elementary school had a very successful cookie dough fundraiser this year.  I would like to thank everyone for their help and participation in making this a success.  We look forward to using these funds to upgrade our elementary playground!  Also, remember that our fall fest kings and queens are still working hard to raise money for our PTL.  Please help by supporting these youngsters in their efforts.  Also, remember to mark November 5, on your calendars.  This is the date of this year's fall festival.  I would also like to congratulate elementary football and cheer teams on a job well done this fall!

Thank you all for a great start to the year as we look forward to a great fall and winter season!

God Bless and Go Rebels!!
