Fall Newsletter

Good afternoon Rebel family!!

I pray that this email finds all of you doing well.  ASC has had a great start to the fall semester and we would like to thank you for your role in that.   I want to share some things with you all that have been going on and some that will be upcoming soon.

Rebel athletics have had a very successful fall season.  We are proud of all our athletes and coaches.  I would like to give special recognition to our Softball team and JH football team on being MAIS champions this year.  The Lady Rebels were District 5-4A champions, 4A South State champions, and 4A State Runner-up.  Our junior high rebel football team finished district 3-4A undefeated and were district champions.  Rebel basketball kicks off in full swing next week and we wish them a great season.  Please look on the school website for the 2023-2024 basketball schedule.

There are three upcoming events that I want to make you all aware of.  On Friday, November 10 we will be have a breakfast in honor of all our veterans.  Look for details to be sent out and posted on FaceBook about this event.  Also, our annual elementary Christmas program will be held on the morning of Wednesday, December 13.  Again, details about this event will be going soon.  Finally, our annual Fall Fest is this Saturday, November 4.  We invite all of you to come out to our beautiful campus for a great time.

Finally, I want to share some brief information with you about the "Children's Promise Act".  This a an amazing piece of Mississippi legislation that allows taxpayers to give a dollar for dollar tax credit to qualifying organizations.  ASC is one of these organizations.  This is not only beneficial for the giving taxpayers, but it is a great way for our school to gain much needing financial gifts.  We are posting very detailed information about this on our website and FaceBook.  Also, we invite you to contact the school's financial office if you have any questions and/or if you need any assistance with this.

God Bless and Go Rebels!!
