Bio

Hello Everyone!

My name is Katie Woodard. I am the sixth grade homeroom teacher and elementary principal at Amite School Center. I also teach fifth grade language arts and reading. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education.  I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect.  An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.

My husband of sixteen years and I have a daughter that is in fifth grade at ASC. We currently live in Gillsburg, Mississippi, which has been my home town for the past twenty-five years. I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

I look forward to getting to know all of you this school year!
